Registering DMs
Here is the info you need in order to register. If you do not have time to waste reading about it and want to register right away, click here.
D&D Online will try to set an AD&D online playing project in which around 50-100 players will play in each game (depending on how many DMs I get), these players will be divided in small groups, like in a normal AD&D game, but they will be able to meet and to interact with one another. This system will allow creation of PC guilds or at least an interaction of different PCs in a guild as well as a great role-playing experience. To facilitate meeting between players, some message boards will be set and e-mail system will be used. It might not be very realistic, but it will make it much more fun. On the large map, it would be impossible for players to meet and to be at the same time at the same place and the online gaming would be like any normal game which is not what people are looking for when joining this kind of game.
During the last month, I created (with the help of a few people) a world in which the online gaming will be played. This world now being ready, it is time to start registration of the DMs. Since this is the first time the online world will be used, the DMs registering will be asked to provide quests or modify existing ones in order for them to be played in the world. If you are accepted (and you will if you know how to play) you will be provided the complete world so that you can either create a quest for the world (if you are in great shape), modify one of your quests so that in can be played in Thardferr (the name of the World) or to modify one or two of the quests I will provide you (these quests will be pretty easy to modify, only changing the names of the places and that will be about it). However, when you register, we hope you know that you will get a lot of reading to do, only the history by itself is around 27 pages long, even if the other parts are much shorter (I would say another 15-20 pages) it will require a lot of reading. So if you do not think you will have time, don't bother registering.
By registering you admit to have a good knowledge of all AD&D rules contained in both the Player Handbook and the Dungeon Master guide. You will also need a few hours a week of free time in order to play. If you are never available, you will get your DM right revoked (this might sound scary, but it is not. I only need people who will have time to play).
Very Important, if you register as a DM, you will not be able to register later on as a player, knowing all the quests and secret information would not only make it boring for you, it would make it boring for your team too.
For more information about the DM registration and the game itself, you should give a look to the introduction page, but mostly at the third page of that introduction.
If you meet all requirements, you can proceed to the registration form right here.
